It was, of course, to the Shadow side of Zael that he came to first. It was easier to access from the void and held more interest to him than the Sanctuary. He stepped out from a black as pitch portal and clasped his hands looking around. He was, now, a handsome man with a crooked nose and intense blue eyes. He was dressed simply in traveler's clothes with a dark purple cloak around his shoulders.

He then smiled a very pleased smile, and started to walk. In his shadowed wake, undead rose to follow.

A tall figure wearing a black coat was leaning against a building when he saw someone he didn't recognize approach. He was wearing sunglasses of some kind, even though it was dark.

"Looking for someone?" He asked without looking up or moving.
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 11th, 2006 06:11 am (UTC)
Melkor laughed. "Looking for someone? No, no... just looking."
tech_rebel on April 11th, 2006 06:15 am (UTC)
"I see."

He looked back at the undead that were trailing along behind Melkor. Although his eyes were hidden behind the glasses, his expression didn't change much, judging by what one could see.

"Interesting fans you've got there," he remarked.
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 11th, 2006 06:17 am (UTC)
He smiled a bit on the mirthful side, "Yes, I'm quiet surprised at it. I think I'm pulling at them. It will be something that has to be delt with."
tech_rebel on April 11th, 2006 06:24 am (UTC)
"I suppose that you could cut down on the charming nature that seems to be attracting them, if you wanted to. So if you're not here looking for someone, what brought you here then?"
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 11th, 2006 06:29 am (UTC)
"I am here, to see. To look, to explore. I want see what this world can offer me. It seems rather pliant to the will," he says looking back at the undead that have started to surround him in an almost fawning manner. None touch him though. If unintelligent undead could be said to be afraid, they are, and of him.
tech_rebel on April 11th, 2006 06:37 am (UTC)
"It is. It's not a good place for anyone who feels a need to exert a great deal of control over everyone and everything that goes on around them, though. There's a balance here that's pretty well enforced." He tilted his head back to star up at the sky. "Not that I'm suggesting that you're of the type to cause trouble. You might just be here looking for a nice vacation spot, for all I know."
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 11th, 2006 06:39 am (UTC)
"Enforced? The gods of this world walk among the mortals?"
tech_rebel on April 11th, 2006 06:44 am (UTC)
"Gods and worse. Yes, sometimes. It's a pretty strange place, full of even stranger people." He almost smiled at that.
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 11th, 2006 06:46 am (UTC)
"Worse? Really now?" he asks, looking at the other man for the first time. "And what would you define as worse.
tech_rebel on April 11th, 2006 06:58 am (UTC)
"Beings from a dimension entirely above the gods that we know. It's just like another set of gods, the next tier, so to speak." He tapped his fingers on his arm. "If you want to know more about them, you'll have to ask someone else, though I'm not sure why you would want to bother."
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 11th, 2006 07:03 am (UTC)
"Why wouldn't I bother? It's knowledge!" There's a glint in his eyes. Something above gods. That was something to look for, something that could be useful. "And who would I ask?"
tech_rebel on April 13th, 2006 05:10 am (UTC)
"You could ask the bartender." He pointed down the road. "He knows a lot more than he lets on. You know how it is, he tends the bar, listens to a lot of people. Still, I'm not sure how much you'll get out of him. Even I can tell that you're giving off seriously untrustworthy-creepy vibes. No offense intended, of course. I have yet to meet a necromancer who didn't."
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 13th, 2006 07:47 pm (UTC)
This caused Melkor to laugh. It was a deep laugh, of a man highly amused. "It is something about being a necromancer. At least the creepy. But it is good to know. Does this bartender have a name?"
tech_rebel on April 14th, 2006 04:43 am (UTC)
"Most people call him Tim."
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 14th, 2006 07:00 pm (UTC)
"Tim. Tim. Very well. Do you think that there is anything of interest to one looking Necromancer around here?"
tech_rebel on April 15th, 2006 04:56 am (UTC)
He shrugged. "I couldn't say."
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 16th, 2006 02:27 am (UTC)
"Are there any around here?" he then asked.
tech_rebel on April 16th, 2006 04:15 am (UTC)
"Any what?" He was aware that they were being watched, but the fact didn't seem to bother him. He didn't react to it at all, actually.
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 16th, 2006 04:20 am (UTC)
"Necromancers, of course." If he was aware that they were being watch, he gave no hint of it. The entirty of his attention appeared to be on his conversation. "Or those of my ilk."
tech_rebel on April 21st, 2006 07:05 am (UTC)
"Right. I'm sure there are, though I haven't been around lately, so I can't help you with specifics," he answered, shaking his head.

"He's cheerful to the point of being like the Joker," Shade noted dryly to herself from a vantage point on top of a nearby building. She wasn't making any particular effort to hide, though she wasn't exactly making her presence obvious, either. She generally didn't interfere if there wasn't a good reason to, especially if she wasn't feeling overly social, which was pretty much all the time.

"Good for him," she added after a pause, eyeing the undead following in the man's wake with a faint look of distaste.
Melkor Sammeth: Necromancerdeathandvoid on April 16th, 2006 02:26 am (UTC)
For a brief moment there's a movement as if he is looking at her straight in the eyes and then a slight tugging sensation. Perhaps what is causing all the other undead to follow him like puppies.
Shadeshadows_of_grey on April 16th, 2006 03:59 am (UTC)
Shade wasn't like the pitiful creatures that he'd attracted so far. She wasn't undead like they were, her own stance on life, death, and undeath being much more complicated, and she was much more powerful, besides. Still, she felt what it was that was drawing the dead to follow him. It was a cold power, not overwhelming but tempting.

It called to something deep in the vampiric part of her. However weak it was at the moment, she still found it irritating. It always was.

She continued to watch him, her hands in the pockets of her long black coat.
Melkor Sammeth: Voiddeathandvoid on April 16th, 2006 04:25 am (UTC)
And he was standing there next to her. Or a shade of him. Or perhaps an avatar. "See something that turns your stomach?" he asked plesantly, hands behind his back, watching himself and the other converse.
Shadeshadows_of_grey on April 16th, 2006 04:42 am (UTC)
She didn't look at him, but she did pull out a cigarette.

"Nothing turns my stomach anymore," she replied, pulling out a lighter with her other hand. The cigarette was lit with a quick deft motion, and the lighter disappeared back into the jacket.

"That doesn't mean that I can't still find some things distasteful," she continued before putting the cigarette to her lips.
Melkor Sammeth: Voiddeathandvoid on April 16th, 2006 05:12 am (UTC)
"And so that is what you see, is it? Is it the fawning of the undead around myself, the lack of their free will reminding you that you could be just like them if someone were to take a strong enough interst... or something else?"
Shadeshadows_of_grey on April 16th, 2006 05:50 am (UTC)
"Me, become like one of them? I don't think so," she replied, her even tone turning cold for a moment. "The only one who could have come even close to turning me into a mindless slave was the one who turned me, and he's out of the picture now."

"So, yeah, something else." She glanced over at him. "And I don't see why I should tell you anything."
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 16th, 2006 05:58 am (UTC)
"Did I ask? I didn't notice if I asked," he said looking down at himself. "I think I need a hair cut," he mused.
Shadeshadows_of_grey on April 17th, 2006 07:04 am (UTC)
She shrugged.

"It sounded enough like a question to me. You'll have to excuse the harsh edge. It's a me thing, and arrogant people tend to set it off." The brief hint of annoyance was gone, replaced by the relaxed manner. Still, she was relaxed in the way that a predator was relaxed while waiting for its next victim to let its guard down.

"Hm, possibly. You might want to consider getting it dyed, too, I think see some grey hairs," she commented.
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 17th, 2006 06:46 pm (UTC)
"I rather like the gray hairs, make me look distinguished. The hair length is just unrully looking," Melkor said, completely at ease. Whether or not he really was, was up to debate. If anything he didn't seem to see her as a threat.
Shadeshadows_of_grey on April 19th, 2006 02:54 am (UTC)
"If you say so."

She gave him a rather flat look. "You go ahead and go about your business, whatever it is. I would advise you to think twice before starting trouble, though, otherwise I might be seeing you again."

She disappeared abruptly in a brief flash of green light.
Melkor Sammethdeathandvoid on April 19th, 2006 02:59 am (UTC)
The apperation/avatar/shade smiles a bit. "I think I'll take that as a challenge."
